On May 29th author Mel Glenn will visit and speak to 8th grade. Mr. Glenn is the author of Who Killed Mr. Chippendale, Jump Ball, Foreign Exchange, and other books of poetry. Check out his website http://www.melglenn.com

It will be hard to top those last 3 books. Come on Bookchatter, we have to agree on something! More fantasy, mystery, realistic, I think we can’t decide because we don’t want to leave Gemma.

Feel free to post any questions or comments about the book on this website. If you went ahead and read Rebel Angels (like I did) DON’T SPOIL THE STORY!! I can’t wait to read the third book.

Grade 7 is reading Life As We Knew It by Susan Beth Pfeffer. A meteor hits the moon, causing death and destruction all over the earth. Sixteen-year-old Miranda keeps a journal about her family’s struggle for survival and reflections on the meaning of life.
Grade 8 is reading The Golden Compass. This is part I of His Dark Materials trilogy. This exciting fantasy/adventure is now a movie! Release date is December 7, 2007.
Bookchatter is back for 7th & 8th graders. Meetings will be every other Wednesday during lunch.
