COLES ART SHOW AND BOOK FAIR 7:00PM (following the 6:45 PTA meeting)
Please come out on Wednesday evening, April 2, to view the art displays in all the school hallways. Each student has art work on display. Children are welcome to participate in a make and take as 56 of our students demonstrate and model specific art projects from throughout the year.

KINDERGARTEN AND NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION – 2008-2009
We would still like to ask all parents’ cooperation in spreading the news that our kindergarten and new student registration is now in full force. This is especially important to communicate to neighbors and friends who might have a child of kindergarten or first grade age. Any help you can give us in having parents call the school office to complete their registration forms will be greatly appreciated. Kindergarten screening is held in April by appointment.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS
Electronic games, devices, and trading cards are not permitted in school. Balls, carried in backpacks, are acceptable. Balls should be labeled with name and are to be used only with the approval of lunch aides and teachers.

LOST AND FOUND
Please check the Lost and Found. Unclaimed items will be donated on April 18.

SPRING STUDENT PICTURES – FRIDAY, APRIL 20
Each student will have his/her picture taken on Friday, April 20, 2008. Shortly thereafter, your child’s pictures will be sent home. If you would like to purchase the pictures, instructions will be enclosed in the picture envelope. If you are not interested in buying the photos, all you have to do is return the envelope to your child’s classroom teacher. There is no obligation to purchase the pictures. This is not a PTA fundraiser. Spring pictures will be a little different than the fall pictures. No money should be sent ahead of time. No retakes or make-ups can be done.

WAITING FOR CHILDEN AT DISMISSAL TIME
As the weather improves, more and more classes will be enjoying a brief recess period prior to the close of the day. Classes need to have the blacktop and sidewalk in front of first and second grade classes clear for their use. If you are coming to pick up and want to walk your dog and/or small children, please use the sidewalk near Kevin Road. Please clear a path for the children every time you see them entering and exiting the school.

ABSENCES
When reporting your child absent, please remember we are required to record the reason each child is absent.
