From the Principal |
Thank you for your help in making sure the children are dressed appropriately. It has been hot! Feel free to send water bottles. We appreciate your help in maintaining a school environment.
Due to the high incidence of childhood obesity in the United States, we at Coles would like to be proactive. Fast food lunches are strongly discouraged.
Please use the remainder of your lunch tickets before the end of this school year. They will expire on June 23.
We have a wonderful library and treasure each and every one of our books. We therefore, kindly ask that you return all library books immediately. All reports cards are held in the office on the last day of school, until library books are returned or library fines are paid.
Your children spend time on the playground during recess. For safety reasons, we request that they wear secure sandals or sneakers. Flip flops are not permitted.
While we appreciate the iced treats at this time of year, please keep in mind that we do not have space to store them. To avoid melting, the treats should either be brought in at the time requested by the teacher, or packaged in a freezer-type container. Leftovers need to be taken home the same day.
Have you been searching high and low for those lost gloves, or the missing jewelry? Did you misplace your backpack or your lunch box? Now is the time to check the Lost and Found box in the lobby. Please look through the box before school closes. All items left behind will find new homes (on Friday, June 24) and will miss you very much!
All registration forms are on the district website (www.spfk12.org/sp-f_registration.htm). Please note that the forms must be delivered to the office in person, along with original documents, in order to complete the registration process.
If you are moving before September, please notify the office as soon as possible.
As the 2004-2005 school year comes to a close, I want to thank you for your support, kind words, and cooperation. It has been an eventful and successful year. We look forward to the 2005-2006 school year with a great deal of enthusiasm. Please note that the first day of school, Wednesday, September 7, is a full day session.
We encourage you to check our website, www.spfk12.org/coles over the summer. We will be adding items to it regularly and hope that this will help to answer some of the questions you may have and alert you to upcoming events. Please encourage your children to read and participate in the PTAs Camp Read-A-Lot this summer.
Enjoy the summer!
We look forward to welcoming you back on Wednesday, September 7, 2005.
