Golf Outing Basket Raffle
Before we know it, we will be teeing up for the Annual Music Boosters
Golf Outing and Dinner. One successful aspect of the evening is the Basket
Raffle and last year through the generous donations of many merchants in our
towns we were able to assemble these donations into baskets to raise
additional funds for our program. This year, rather than soliciting local
merchants as most other non-profits in town do, we are reaching out to our
Music Booster families to donate baskets filled with prizes.
Please consider donating a theme filled basket valued anywhere from $25.00
to $100.00. An easy way to do this is to join with another family to create
a special basket or donate a gift certificate from area stores or
restaurants. You might even work for an organization or merchant who would
consider donating a prize for our raffle! Some ideas would be: Games Basket
(filled with assorted classic board games for all ages), Mom and Dad’s night
out (basket with a $50 gift certificate to a local restaurant, and a bottle
of wine), Comedy Movie Night (2 classic comedy movies, pop corn and soft
drinks) or a $100 gift certificate to The Gap, Lord&Taylor or Sports
Authority. Everyone donating baskets will be recognized in the Golf Outing
program.
We would like to continue this fun part of our evening at the dinner
following the Golf Outing.
Please contact me if you will participate or need additional ideas for your
own unique donation.
Thank you.

SAVE YOUR COKE
BOTTLE CAPS
Inside the caps of specially marked bottles of Coke, Diet Coke, and Sprite soda
products are reward point code numbers that can be redeemed for prizes. Code
numbers can also be found inside cartons of 12 pack cans of Coke products and on
the plastic wrap around the cases of Dasani water.
The Music Boosters will be redeeming the points for gifts for the Oct. 6th Golf
Outing. The more points we accumulate, the bigger the rewards. Please help us by
saving your caps now through September.
You can call Laura or Joe Matrale with code numbers 908-654-8676, or email the
12-15 digit code number directly to

Support the Music Boosters by Donating your old
Cell Phones and Ink Jet Cartridges!!!
Phoneraiser will send us money for our unwanted cell phones and inkjet
cartridges.
Collection boxes are in the main office, music office, and can be sent to Doreen
Babis @ 11 Wilshire Run, SP.
Cell phones contain toxic elements which are dangerous for the environment. They
must be recycled.
Help support the SPF Music Boosters by saving these unwanted items.
We can raise hundreds, even thousands, if we spread the word to family, friends,
workplace, etc…
Thank you for your support!

"SHAKE A
CAN"
The Music Boosters are trying to
help the students finance their Spring trip to Orlando. Many band and choral
students have already participated in the "Canister Drives" being held
throughout Scotch Plains & Fanwood. All money collected will be credited
toward the cost of the individual student's music trip.
Various local merchants have allowed the students to collect at numerous
times during the last few months and it has been very profitable for those
involved. For scheduling information contact
Laura or
Joe Matrale at 908-654-
8676.

Yankee
Candle Fundraiser
The Yankee Candle Fund Raiser is a
great opportunity to offset the cost of the annual Spring Music Trip for all
music students. Our sale will run from 9/8/08 to 9/25/08. Orders forms and
payment must be returned by 9/26/08.
NO late orders are accepted.
This is an easy way for you and your friends to do some holiday shopping and

of the trip, Yankee Candle packets will be available at the end of Band Camp at
the parent preview show. Packets can also be picked up at the home of Grace
Ingato - 2115 Algonquin Dr., Scotch Plains. A plastic tub with packets will be
on the front porch. This same tub will be used for the return of order forms and
payment.
