SPF PTA Council promotes 10 standing committees that serve children
in all 8 public schools and, at times, in St. Bartholomew
Inter-Parochial School as well.
Each committee has a chairperson and/ or
co-chairperson. Other members of the committee are the chairperson(s)
from individual school.
The district chairperson and/or co-chairperson are
appointed by the President and approved by the Council at its
October meeting to serve a term of one year. No chairperson can
serve more than two years consecutively.
The chairperson and/ or co-chairperson attends all
Council meetings and reports all committee recommendations and
actions to Council. All committees meet on a regular basis with one
week's notice from the chairperson for such meetings. Prior to the
close of the school year, each committee has a joint committee
meeting for incoming and outgoing members to facilitate a smooth
transition of responsibilities.
All district committee actions are approved and
sponsored by Council.
Any committee that requires funds from individual
PTAs collects and administers such monies by the PTA Council
Treasurer with the exception of the YPT that
administers its own funds. All committee expenditures are accounted
for by the committee chairperson to the Council Treasurer via an
itemized report prior to the May Council meeting.

affordable live performances to children in their own backyards.
