- The school a student attends is determined
by his/her address. In general, transportation
to and from school is provided by the district
for elementary and middle school students living
more than 2 miles from school and for high
school students living more than 2 1/2 miles
from school. Transportation is provided for all
handicapped students and students living north
of US Route 22.

ATTENTION, new
residents of "The Reserve". . .
At its regular public meeting on
May 27, 2004, the SP-F Board of Education approved the
Superintendent's recommendation regarding the school
attendance of children living in "The Reserve"
development (Donato Circle) as follows: Elementary
students in Grades K-4 will attend Evergreen School;
students in Grades 5-8 will attend Park Middle School;
all high school students in Grades 9-12 attend Scotch
Plains-Fanwood High School. Elementary students in the
ESL ("English as a Second Language") program will attend
School One. Bus transportation is provided.
For Your Information . . .
In February, 2000, the Board of Education approved the
reorganization of the district's grade structure to K-4
elementary school and 5-8 middle schools beginning in
September, 2002. Changes in the district's attendance
areas made at that time
include:

1. As of September, 2000, new families
who begin residing in the Bayberry Apartments
(Rivervale Court) and in Southwyck Condominiums
(Cellar Ave., Carriage Lane, Burnham, Eastham,
Harwich, Maddaket, Tisbury, Wareham, and
Yarmouth) must register elementary grade
students at Brunner School and middle
school grade students at Park Middle
School.

2. As of September, 2000, new families
who begin residing on Hunter Ave. north of Front
St. and south of Mountain Ave., Willow Ave.
north of Front St. and south of Mountain Ave.,
and Myrtle Ave. north of Front St. and south of
Mountain Ave. must register elementary grade
students at Coles School and middle
school grade students at Terrill Middle
School.

3. The elementary and middle school attendance
areas for students moving into new developments
built after February, 2000, will be determined
based on space availability in the schools.
Developers/builders and real estate offices will
be notified when a decision has been made
regarding each development's school attendance
area.
