Time allotments (in minutes) are
established as a guide to assure adequate attention
to the various subject fields. Teachers are
expected to make a genuine commitment to these time
allocations, but may deviate from the guide in
order to meet the needs of a particular learning
situation or special interests of the children.
Teachers are also encouraged to use
inter-disciplinary approaches to enhance learning
whenever appropriate.
