SPF is proud to spotlight alumni going above and beyond. Today we celebrate Miles Roper the valedictorian of class of 2021. His passion for engineering has led him to start a career as a engineer helping to send rockets into space!

Nettingham students during science olympiad

From rubber-band catapults to designing systems that prevent an egg from cracking when dropped, Science Olympiad gave 5th and 6th grade students at Terrill and Nettingham Middle Schools a chance to explore STEM through hands-on challenges and teamwork.

About Our District

Who We Are

Scotch Plains-Fanwood Public Schools is a Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade public school district in Union County, New Jersey. The district's five elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school support an active and diverse student body of nearly 5,500 students. 


What We Do

Our mission is to educate every student to become a confident and caring life-long learner who can communicate and contribute positively to the rapidly changing world. The district, in cooperation with the community, will provide, an academic environment which values excellence, initiative and diversity.
