The Scotch Plains-Fanwood Public Schools theater programs earned statewide recognition as Nettingham Middle School was nominated for 12 Foxy Middle School Awards and Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School was nominated for 13 Foxy Awards.

Scotch Plains-Fanwood Public Schools proudly celebrated Neurodiversity Week from March 16-20. At Brunner Elementary School, the week stretched across subject areas and grade levels and is becoming a beloved tradition.

The Scotch Plains-Fanwood Board of Education will have two 3-year terms open for Scotch Plains and one 3-year term open for Fanwood in the November 2026 Annual School Election.

About Our District
Who We Are
Scotch Plains-Fanwood Public Schools is a Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade public school district in Union County, New Jersey. The district's five elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school support an active and diverse student body of nearly 5,500 students.
What We Do
Our mission is to educate every student to become a confident and caring life-long learner who can communicate and contribute positively to the rapidly changing world. The district, in cooperation with the community, will provide, an academic environment which values excellence, initiative and diversity.

The district is committed to creating a nurturing environment where all students can learn and thrive. The district not only celebrates academic growth but fosters students' interest in the arts, athletics, and co-curricular activities with numerous programs.
