Dear Parents,

         I hope that you and your family are having a safe and happy summer. I am looking forward to getting to know your child and having a great experience together! Although this year will still look a little different than pre-pandemic years, I am confident that it will be filled with learning, fun, and positive educational and social outcomes. 

         I have been teaching at McGinn for over fifteen years, with the majority of
those years spent in second grade. I look forward to using my previous experience in second grade, as well as my experience teaching on other grade levels, to help make the 2021-2022 school year memorable for your child.

         Second graders will be having a midmorning snack every day. Please provide your child with a nutritious snack that he or she can easily manage. If you would like to provide your child with a drink for snack, water or a juice box is fine. 

   While back to school shopping, please pick up the items indicated on the second grade supply list. Please also send in a recent picture of your child, cut roughly to 2 ½ x 2 ½ inches. Please label all items except pencils, erasers, and gluesticks.
