The Scotch Plains- Fanwood High School Alumni Association has selected two graduating high school seniors to receive $1,000 scholarships.

Gabriel Donatelli will be attending Penn State University to study marketing and sports management.  Donatelli has served as an operations intern specializing in marketing, scheduling employees, purchasing, and organizing the warehouse for home games for the Somerset Patriots.  He has been involved with restorations at the Shady Rest Clubhouse and served as a docent at the Cannonball Museum with the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Historical Society's open house events in Scotch Plains.

Emma Hastrup will be attending Bloomsburg University where she will pursue a bachelor's degree in American Sign Language/ English Interpretation.

Hastrup is pursuing the study of ASL to "to make our world more accessible to those deaf or hard of hearing".  This course of study will help her achieve her goal of helping children faced with disabilities and special needs.  Hastrup volunteered at Children's Specialized Hospital and was member of the Scotch Plains Fanwood High School Band and Color Guard.

Unfortunately, in 2020, we were not able to have the scholarship award night in person at the SPFHS auditorium as in the past, due to the pandemic.  We are confident in their future and wish them success in achieving all of their goals.
